Unlock the Power of Podcast Analytics with Gigasheet

Step 1: Collect Your Data

Start by gathering all the necessary podcast data from the various platforms where your content is streamed. This includes:

  • Download counts and listener statistics from major platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts.
  • Engagement metrics from your social media channels.
  • If applicable, data on revenue and ad performance.

Step 2: Import Your Data into Gigasheet

Ready to dive in? Here’s how:

  • Sign up or log in to your Gigasheet account—it’s free to start!
  • Navigate to your Library and select +New > Upload File to upload the data files you've prepared. Gigasheet supports multiple formats such as CSV and XLSX, or you can even load directly from URLs. Connect seamlessly to cloud storage services like Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, and integrate with databases and data warehouses including Snowflake and Databricks.

Step 3: Merge Your Data Files

If your data spans multiple files (ie, monthly reports), easily consolidate them in Gigasheet:

  • In the Library, select the files you wish to merge.
  • Click on 'Combine Files', ensuring your files have compatible columns. You can tweak file contents in Gigasheet by modifying data types or removing unnecessary columns.
  • Select your preferred method of combination.

Step 4: Analyze and Group Your Data

Transform your data into actionable insights:

  • Group your data by selecting the relevant columns and set your desired metrics for aggregation, such as averages, counts, or ranges.
  • Dive into listener trends, demographic insights, and revenue metrics to uncover valuable patterns.

Step 5: Hone in With Filters

Focus your analysis for sharper insights:

  • Open the file from your library and use the Filter feature to narrow down on specific data points like date ranges, specific episodes, or listener demographics.

Step 6: Deepen Analysis with Cross File VLOOKUP

Enrich your understanding by linking data across different files:

  • From the Insert menu, select VLOOKUP to reference data from other sheets.
  • Optionally, import additional columns from the source sheet to enhance your current dataset.

Step 7: Share, Embed or Export Your Findings

Share your insights and make data-driven decisions:

  • Use the Share or Link option to easily disseminate your findings with your team or stakeholders.
  • Gigasheet Business customers can opt to embed the live sheet on their website or within a portal.
  • Export your analysis in your preferred format for presentations, or create a URL for real-time data import into spreadsheets and BI tools.
