Use the Abstract API Email Validation Enrichment to Check Email Addresses

Gigasheet’s big data spreadsheet not only can open huge files, it can also enrich data using no code enrichments. Gigasheet offers the ability to run both built-in and custom enrichments. One built-in enrichment is the ability to call the Abstract API Email Validation API.  If you aren’t familiar with Abstract API, they provide powerful APIs used by 10,000+ developers worldwide to enrich any user experience or automate any workflow. In this example, we are going to use the Abstract API Email Validation API to check email addresses in our lead list.

How To Enrich A Spreadsheet With Abstract API Email Validation API:

For this example, my data is a lead list containing 20 sample contacts. Let’s use the free Abstract API Email Validation API to validate the email addresses.

Step 1. In Gigasheet, head to the Enrichments function and the default Enrichment Type is Email.

Step 2. Select the column to enrich, which in this case is “Email” and then check the box for Abstract API Email Verification. Paste in your API key from Abstract API and you are now ready to run the enrichment by hitting Apply. It’s that simple!

‍Step 3. Gigasheet will run the Abstract API Email Validation API on your column containing email addresses and insert the following information into your sheet:

• Deliverability - Is the email deliverable?
• Quality Score - An Abstract API created score between 0.01 and 0.99 reflecting their confidence in the quality and deliverability of the email.

As you can see, I have some undeliverable email addresses in my list that I am going to want to remove before pressing send. Avoiding undeliverable addresses helps keep my sender reputation high and my emails going out!
