Over the last few years, price transparency regulations have unleashed an avalanche of healthcare data. But just because this data is public doesn’t mean it’s usable.
That’s why we’re excited to announce our Price Transparency Data Catalog, now included with select plans. This catalog gives users direct access to more than 6 terabytes of preprocessed, preloaded pricing data, covering thousands of payer files and over 5,000 hospitals across all 50 states.
This is in addition to your existing ability to view large machine-readable files (MRFs) on-demand, whether they come in massive CSVs or deeply nested JSON formats.
The Price Transparency Data Catalog provides ready-to-analyze datasets drawn directly from Transparency in Coverage and Hospital Price Transparency machine-readable files. While the data has been extracted and organized for usability, it is still in it's raw form, giving you access to the original output as published by payers and hospitals, just in a format that’s practical to work with.
Key highlights include:
If you’ve ever tried to load a 120GB MRF or extract rate info from a multi-nested JSON structure, you know how painful it can be. The Data Catalog gives you a head start. Everything is preloaded, indexed, and ready to filter or join using our familiar spreadsheet-like interface.
Healthcare organizations, self-insured employers, and consultants are sitting on a goldmine of pricing data, but making use of that data is another story.
Here’s the typical challenge:
In short, the raw data is there, but it's buried. We built the Price Transparency Data Catalog to surface that data in a way that’s practical, scalable, and fast.
This catalog is designed for anyone who needs to work with transparency data at scale, including:
By giving you fast access to a preloaded set of real-world negotiated rates, the catalog helps you spend more time on analysis, and less on engineering.
The Price Transparency Data Catalog is tightly integrated with our spreadsheet-based interface, allowing you to:
You can also combine catalog files with your own datasets, upload your custom provider list or claims history and filter the catalog down to just the providers you care about.
The catalog is a powerful shortcut, but if you want to dig into raw files directly, you still can.
Every price transparency plan still includes:
This hybrid approach, preloaded catalog plus raw file access, means you get both speed and flexibility.
Organizations across the healthcare ecosystem use the Price Transparency Data Catalog to inform strategy, support negotiations, and improve market positioning. Here are three common use cases:
Consultants working with large provider groups use the catalog to benchmark reimbursement rates across payers and competitors. This data helps inform contract renegotiations, providing a clear view of how their clients’ rates compare in the market.
Health systems and ACOs rely on the catalog to identify high-performing providers and understand how they're reimbursed by competing plans. They use these insights to recruit strategically and offer competitive contracts that enhance network adequacy and efficiency.
Medical device companies use hospital-published pricing data to understand how procedures involving their products are reimbursed. This supports market access and reimbursement teams with real-world reference points to guide strategy and engagement with providers and payers.
We’re continuously expanding the Price Transparency Data Catalog. New additions will include:
As always, we're listening to customer feedback to guide the roadmap. If there’s a dataset or structure you’d like to see added, we’d love to hear about it.
If you're already on a qualifying price transparency plan, the Data Catalog is available in your Gigasheet account today. If you're on a qualifying plan and not seeing access, just hit up our Support Team.

The raw price transparency data is incredibly valuable, but only if you can work with it. The Price Transparency Data Catalog removes the friction by giving you preloaded access to terabytes of hospital and payer rates, ready for analysis.
